Free Online Event
OneWISH, the Global Coalition for Women and Inclusion in Safety and Health is delighted to announce our November Live Event, bringing together expert speakers, panellists, and the latest research in diversity and inclusion within the OHS profession.
Following the successful launch of OneWISH in 2020 and the fantastic inaugural global congress in March 2021, the coalition of women in safety and health networks is delighted to announce the date for a global Live Event on Thursday 4th November 2021.
The online event has been organised to support Stress Awareness Week. It will run from 12 pm until 4 pm GMT, and speakers will include the President of IOSH, Jimmy Quinn, who will be addressing the subject of mental health issues in veterans, ROSPA Policy Advisor Dr. Karen McDonnell, who will be hosting a panel discussion with two of her recent OHS mentees to discuss the benefits and challenges of this process, and Sylvia Maruszyk who is an activational speaker on stress and mental health from Canada. We will also be hearing from two of the Executive Committee of OneWISH on the success of the last 12 months and plans for the future, and we hope that OHS professionals from around the world can be a part of that.
OneWISH launched in December 2020 to promote the work of and amplify the voices of, women across the health and safety profession on a global scale. The coalition has gained real traction over the last nine months, as Anne Gardner-Aston, Chair, comments:
“We have been overwhelmed by the response and support of safety and health representatives from networks and large organisations across the world, and we really are uniting together to forge change.
“We’re delighted to be running our second conference and highlighting the mental health factors in equity and inclusion, and we feel that Stress Awareness Week is a fitting time to do this. Attendees will truly benefit from the rich content, discussion, and guidance.”
